How Click & Collect Independent collections Work
IKEA home delivery can take days to arrange and often comes with long time windows. Heavy flat-packs are often left at the building entrance for you to carry in. With Click & Collect, we pick up your order as soon as the store confirms it is ready.
When you order online, choose a store such as IKEA Croydon, Wembley or Lakeside. When the collection email with the barcodes arrives, forward it to us. We send a van and crew to the collection point and pick up the boxes for you.

Points to know for the main London-area stores:
- IKEA Croydon (Valley Park): Busy collection area; a morning slot avoids most of the queues.
- IKEA Wembley (Brent Park): Next to the North Circular; we plan the route around the worst traffic.
- IKEA Lakeside (Thurrock): Large store; good for heavy modular sofas held in stock.
Assembling Modular IKEA Sofas (SÖDERHAMN, HÄRLANDA)
Sofas like the SÖDERHAMN or HÄRLANDA come in several large, heavy boxes. They are hard to get up narrow stairs or corridors on your own. Our 2-person crew carries the boxes into your lounge, unpacks the parts and lays them out in order.
We build the frames by the instructions, bolt the sections together and fit the covers tight. You save hours, and the brackets are locked properly so the frame doesn't wobble.

Cardboard Disposal and Access Checks
A modular sofa leaves a lot of cardboard and plastic wrap. We can pack it up and take it for recycling, priced by volume, so your home is left clear.

We check for this at the store. When collecting your IKEA order, the crew counts the boxes against your receipt and order list before loading. If the loading bay has missed a box, we sort it out at the collection counter before leaving, so you do not find missing parts halfway through assembly at home. Send us your order number and item list in advance so the check is quick on the day.
IKEA sofa collection and delivery with Giga Removals starts from £75 an hour with a van and a 2-person crew, 2-hour minimum (£150), which suits most sofas that need two people to carry. Mileage is charged one way, collection to delivery. Assembly is added separately: from £40 per item (a modular sofa is £100 to dismantle and reassemble), with a £90 minimum, depending on the model.
