How to Book Movers in Central London Online: A Step-by-Step Guide
A walk through our six-step online booking: what each screen asks, why it asks it, and what happens after you send it.

Booking movers in Central London should take minutes, not a chain of emails. Our booking page at gigaremovals.uk/book/ asks the questions that decide the price, in the order that makes it accurate. It is the same form for a flat in Soho or a house move from London to Manchester.
This guide goes through the six steps: what each one asks, why, and what to do if you are not sure of an answer.
Key takeaways
- Six steps, and you can go back to any of them. The price updates as you go.
- You confirm your email with a six-digit code at the end. No password.
- Your reference is in the form AM-###### and is in every email we send.
- Nothing is paid when you book. No deposit: you pay by bank transfer after the job.
- Floor, lift and parking change the time a Central London job takes most. Take care with them.
Before you start: the four things to have ready
You do not need an exact price or time before you begin. Have these four things ready.
- Both addresses with postcodes. In Central London a postcode tells us a lot about parking and loading.
- The floor at each address, and whether there is a lift.
- A rough size: studio, one bed, two bed, three bed, or an office with the number of desks.
- A preferred date and a backup.
If you used the moving cost calculator first, the booking page picks up your van and hours. You can change them.
Why these four things matter
Access is the biggest cost driver in Central London. A fourth-floor flat with no lift takes far longer than the same flat on the ground floor. The postcode tells us where the van will stop, and the date tells us whether a crew is free. With these four details, the price you see is close to the price you pay.
Step 1: Choose your service
Pick the job that matches: a house move, a flat move, an office move or a single item. Each option shows a live price or tells you what we need to quote it.
Choosing a service commits you to nothing. Change it at any point and the price changes with it.
Step 2: Tell us about the property
Give the home type and size. We use it to suggest a realistic van, crew and number of hours, which you can change on the next step.
If your street is in a controlled parking zone, read our parking suspension guide before you book.
| Answer you give | What it means for the job | Effect on time |
|---|---|---|
| Ground floor, lift available | Straight in and out | Lowest |
| Upper floor with a lift | Short wait for the lift, one trip per load | Low |
| Upper floor, no lift | Every item carried up or down the stairs | Highest |
| Van parks outside the door | Short carry | Lowest |
| Van parks a street away | Longer carry on every trip | Higher |
Step 3: Set the van, crew and hours
Choose the van, the crew and how many hours to book. Hours are booked whole: at least 2 for a Small Transit or Transit LWB, 3 for a Luton or lorry. If the job runs over, extra time is charged in 30-minute steps.
Mileage is charged one way, collection to delivery, at the van’s per-mile rate. Stairs without a working lift are £10 per person per flight for each hour at that address. There is no weekend, evening, bank holiday or ULEZ premium.
Step 4: Choose a date and time
Pick a day and a start time. The price is the same every day of the week. Central London jobs are planned around our Central London service area, and we confirm the slot with you by email.
Step 5: Enter the two addresses
Enter the pick-up and drop-off addresses, with the floor, the lift and how far the van can park from the door.
The route between them sets the travel time and the mileage. In Central London traffic alone can change a job by an hour.
Step 6: Review and confirm
The review step shows the total and every line behind it. Check each one; you can jump back to any step from here.
Add your name and a mobile number for the crew on the day. Then confirm your email: we send a six-digit code, you type it in, and the request is sent. Nothing is booked or paid at this point.
Your reference appears in the form AM-######. The same reference is in the email we send you.
What happens after you book
We check the van, crew, access and parking for your slot, then confirm by email. If something needs a question answered, we email you. For what to prepare, read what to have ready before you call.
Follow the booking at My bookings (gigaremovals.uk/my-bookings/). Sign in with the same email and a code, copy your reference or request a change.
If you get stuck
Email info@gigaremovals.uk with the step you were on and both postcodes, or press “Ask Giga” on any page. Giga can take the booking in the chat instead.

It is the price for the van, crew and hours you chose, from our published price list. We check access and timing before we confirm, and tell you by email if anything changes it.
